This companion Chrome extension observes bookmarks as X loads them, including discovered bookmark folders, and saves a JSON file you can import into PostRoost. Check the capture before importing; complete coverage is not guaranteed.

Grab the extension below and unzip it anywhere (e.g. a postroost-extension folder you keep around).
Open chrome://extensions, toggle Developer mode (top-right), click Load unpacked, and select the unzipped folder. Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, and other Chromium browsers.
Go to x.com/i/bookmarks. A small PostRoost Export panel appears and the capture starts automatically: it scrolls the main list, then tours discovered folders. When the tour finishes, check the captured count and folders, then click Download JSON. X loading behavior, request limits, and browser throttling can leave gaps.
In PostRoost, open Settings → Import bookmarks and choose the file. We add anything you don't already have and file it into the matching folders — your existing bookmarks, notes, and organization are never changed.
The extension makes no network requests of its own and sends data nowhere. It only listens to X's own responses as you browse your bookmarks, and everything stays in your browser storage, separated by the readable X account identity. Account switches pause the tour and change the displayed capture. If the browser cannot expose that identity, capture stays disabled. Version 1.1.1 resets older accountless caches, so upgrading requires a new capture. Uninstalling removes extension storage; downloaded files remain on your computer.
